God is doing a work in Africa that no one on our team envisioned three years ago. CAYM is training and supporting indigenous leaders in twelve African nations to develop mentoring programs to reach youth and young adults. Our goals are simple:
- Train African leaders on the principles of evidence-based mentoring in a Biblical framework
- Bring the Gospel to students and vulnerable children and families through faithful Christian mentors.
- Support indigenous leaders to ensure that their programs are safe, effective, and sustainable.
Over the past fifteen months, our training team has made three trips to Africa to train leaders in churches and Christian universities as well as verify the quality of their work. Our team continually trains and supports those ministries through our online school. Those countries include Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, and Kenya. There have been hundreds of mentoring matches between Christian adults and vulnerable youth made over the past year in those countries. We expect many thousands of matches to occur over the next three years.
Your support is needed for this to continue to grow as we work to develop more indigenous leaders in those countries and eight other countries that are receiving our training. Please consider a donation to our work. We need $73,000 to continue this work for the rest of this year and into 2025.
