Sugar Creek Baptist Church has adopted and partnered with Arizona Fleming Elementary School in the Fort Bend County School District. We have church-wide efforts offering support and encouragement to the administration and teaching staff as well as an annual school supply drive. We also have a team of men and women that go to the school once a week to meet with and mentor specific children that have been identified by teachers and parents as needing an adult friend to help them along through the school year.  Each mentor establishes affirming relationships while helping children set goals to achieve academic & social success.  When working in the public schools our mentor ministry team is bound by the district rules not to discuss spiritual matters with students. HOWEVER! We are not bound in any way from praying for our mentees, their families, their teachers, and their friends. Each Mentor/Mentee relationship is literally bathed in prayer. Our heart is to be used of God to impact lives according to His plan & HIS purposes.

We also have a program for inner city - at risk kids called Urban Camp. It's a free camp that we take kids to each summer to present the gospel and to address the challenges they face. Life Skill Workshops  on Sexual Purity, Freedom from Drugs and Gangs and Education are presented throughout the 4 day camp.
