Why Mentoring? 

• Nearly 40% of American Children are born to unwed mothers.*  Children raised by single moms face many more obstacles in life and are considered more "at-risk" than children in two-parent homes.  *US Center for Disease Control 2006
• In addition to this, many kids face broken families due to divorce and parental abandonment.

• Our kids need role models. Mentoring provides healthy friendships that our vulnerable youth desperately need.

CAYM's Role

• The Christian Association of Youth Mentoring provides churches and ministries with the training, materials and support to run safe and effective mentoring ministries.
