Our Mission

To train and support churches, ministries and individuals in providing safe and effective mentoring to vulnerable youth and their families

Empowering Christian mentoring ministries to become more effective in their Kingdom work is a primary objective of the CAYM. By serving as a source of professionally created promotional material, funds development programs, recruiting material and many other resources, we can eliminate the need to “re-invent the wheel” with each new program.

Equipping both established and emerging ministries is achieved through our training arm, the Christian Mentoring Institute. The latest safe and effective procedures are taught. Field-proven methods of prospective mentor screening, training and ongoing supervision are discussed in detail. Attendees can download forms, charts and training videos.

Encouraging Christian mentoring ministries by creating a sense of “community” is accomplished through increased communication. A yearly conference, regional workshops and an on-line newsletter will allow for a greater flow of ideas and the development of friendships.
